Wow, what an AMAZING weekend! Seriously, even though it got off to kind of a rough start, it only got better from there...I got to meet Tyler Hilton, Hilarie Burton, James Lafferty, Lee Norris (all from the TV show One Tree Hill, and Mozella. And see Jack's Mannequin perform. And go shopping in Newport and stay at this awesome hotel XD Janell (i_heart_jm) will provide more details soon, but I'm in charge of sharing the pictures, so...

I haven't even been at work for 45 minutes and I'm already out of things to do. This is bad. And since I'm not on my computer at home, I can't do stuff I normally would to keep myself occupied. How sad is it that I'm actually hoping it'll get busy so I'll have something to do? :-p Oh well. At least I finally get to work by myself for once! XD

Ugh...being on the west coast kinda sucks sometimes cause we see everything so much later than everyone else...well, except for Hawai'i :-p But anyways, I digress. I just finished watching the Teen Choice Awards (yes I do realize I'm only a teenager for less than a month, but that's beside the point), and here are my thoughts on it, if you feel like reading them :-p :

~Adam Brody- Choice TV Actor (Drama) and Choice TV Chemistry with Rachel Bilson XD

~Rachel Bilson-Choice Female Hottie and Choice TV Actress (Drama). I was kinda disappointed that Alexis Bledel beat her and Sophia Bush for Choice "It" Girl (and disappointed that Rachel didn't even make it to the final 4)...

Reflections:

I was really torn between rooting for The O.C and One Tree Hill cause I love them both...

I was disappointed that Gavin and Tyler didn't win anything :-(

I greatly enjoyed the fact that Tyler and David Boreanaz introduced the Pussycat Dolls and The Black Eyed Peas-not to mention the fact that both guys looked HAWT XD

Well, the weekend kinda ended up in a different place than it started out, but in this case that was a good thing. First of all, I ended up driving down the Kingsburg after work on Friday to bring Janell her keys, which, as it turns out, was a nice change of plans. I was going to come back to Davis Saturday afternoon because my cousin from England was supposed to come up for a quick visit with some of his friends on Saturday before the headed to a concert in the Bay Area, but while I was driving down to the Central Valley he called to tell me the van that he and his friends were driving had broken down in Berkeley so he couldn't make it up before he headed home on Sunday. Which meant that I ended up spending the weekend away from Davis (a much-needed break, I might add) and having a giant moviefest with Janell. From Friday night to Sunday night, we watched:

~All 3 Lord of the Rings movies. All freakin' awesome, too! XD Even though I'd seen them before, I'd forgotten just how good they are.

~Clueless. OMG, so funny!

~Indiana Jones-Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Temple of Doom, and The Last Crusade. I'd only seen the third one, and that was years ago-I never realized how entertaining they are! Young and shirtless Harrison Ford isn't too bad to look at, either :-p

Which makes for a grand total of 7 movies in one weekend, which I think is a personal record for me XD

Anyways, now I need to eat, do laundry, and hopefully start the clost reorganization project before 2. Leah (my old roommate) left me some shelves when she moved out this weekend, so I want to try and put them to good use. At least the weather's much cooler than it has been, which'll make life a lot easier.

1) I sing anywhere and everywhere...mostly places I shouldn't, too. Not that relating to music is dorky-it's more the random bursting into song thing- but I swear I live "a life in lyrics."

2)I quote movies and TV shows randomly in everday conversation. This one gets me a lot of strange looks, especially from people at work who have no idea what I'm talking about.

3)I love foreign languages and often start speaking in French (or random Italian phrases) to other people that also know those languages. I have been known to have very lengthy conversations this way, and have had people both stare at me in confusion and/or tell me shut up, hehe.

4)I can go on forever about Hawai'i if someone so much as mentions the name of one of the islands. People think I'm obsessed, but what can I say, I love it there! XD

5)When I get into something new (either a new music artist or TV show or something), I tend to become obsessed very quickly. Most of the time it calms down after a little while, but I still am a huge dork when it comes to stuff I really like.

Okay, I dunno if all of those really qualify as "dorky," but oh well XP

OMG I am such a nerd...I've spent literally the last day and half getting new music, and almost all of it is oldies stuff and a whole bunch of awesome covers of some of those songs too. Janell and I went to Johnny Rocket's (sp?) yesterday for lunch and saw all the songs in the little jukebox thing on our table and I've been on a huge oldies kick ever since. I've now decided that whatever I do for my birthday next month will be oldies-themed, too XD But what can I say-I LOVE MUSIC. Seriously, I don't know what I'd do without it. My iTunes library has the most random assortment in it (don't even get me going on what kind of stuff is in there...), and I love it XD

Anyways, on another note...tonight's the All Cashier's Meeting for work, which means I have to talk cause I'm a Lead now. I'm not nervous or anything, it'll just be strange being up in front instead of on the other side like I have been for so long. I just hope rush goes well and that I don't screw anything up too badly so that Chris or Genebie get mad at me. Oh well.

Well, I'm off to go watch some TV or something, wait for Tutor Girl to show up, and then maybe do some cleaning for the party after the meeting.

So this is the 2nd Friday in a row that I've spent sick in bed...after waking up at 5:30am and realizing there was no possible way I'd be able to go to work. At least Chris was cool and said not to worry if I couldn't find a sub to cover my last quarterly ML shift. I was also supposed to train with Genebie this afternoon so she could show me how to close and everything, but now I'm going in tomorrow so she can show me closing and the Saturday stuff too. I just hope they don't think I'm unreliable or flaky, cause I don't usually get sick like this, but I think it may have been something I ate last night. Note to self: no more salami.

On another note: "24" is freaking awesome...I'm so glad the first 3 seasons are out on DVD so I can catch up on what I missed. Caleb and Theresa from "The O.C" are on it (in different seasons, tho), and some people from "Angel," too. I love it when people introduce me to new things like TV shows and music. But OMG have I spent a lot of money on DVD sets, movies, and music this year :-/ That's why I have a job, though, I guess. Or one of the reasons.

This was kind of a pointless update, but oh well. I'm feeling a little better than I was this morning, but my bed is still looking really comfy right now...
